Strait Jacket was born Finster Cooper, a docile government worker.

His strait jacket is also government issue. When his dream of a pension

from the State of Illinois was denied he went ballistic, taking hostages.

Eventually a S.W.A.T. negotiator succeeded in getting the hostages

 released and Cooper was strait jacketed.

Declaring himself an orphan of the state, Cooper vowed to never

remove his strait jacket, until he got his pension. Eventually Finster's

story was picked up by the "Bimini Daily Fiasco", a circus paper in the

Carribean. Strait was quickly teamed up with a driving monkey

"Zelmo the Andretti". With the monkey in charge they went on to

make the Clown Hall of Fame, for the most miles driven by a

non human.
