Mr. Big Pants

Roland Winnett was a gentle, quiet child who loved reading. His father, a bully

and die-hard sports enthusiast, was obsessed with Roland's older brother Pete, and

his batting average. "Books?", his father screeched. "Read the sports pages. That is

reality!"

In 1965 Roland was drafted and subjected to a barrage of tests, including the drug,

LSD. They also placed him in a tube they called "an environment", for nearly two

months. On his release from "the tube" he was discharged as unfit for duty. He went

on to matriculate a PHD in Russian Literature. But unable to find work, Winnett found

himself living in his parents basement, like many clowns.

Roland's mother was overjoyed to have him back home making him breakfast in bed.

His father, outraged, declared, "I wear the pants in the family!" Shortly after that

Winnett's father disappeared and Winnett emerged from his basement as

"MR. BIG PANTS"

And nobody has questioned who wears the pants from that day foward.
